2019 Lions Club Flea Market Report

July 12, 2019  •  1 Comment

On Saturday, June 29 The Lions Club of Madison, Connecticut held their annual Flea Market. It's the second year I participated. Last year the weather didn't cooperate. It rained all day. This year thunderstorms were forecast all day. Fortunately, it didn't happen.

The sun peeked out through the clouds most of the day. There weren't many vendors. I think the weather forecast scared some of them away. I arrived with almost 100 matted photos and ten copies of both of the books I had published last November. Typically at these outdoor events I sell out of my photos, so I come prepared.

I wound up selling five photos and two books one of each title.  One of the reasons I may not have sold more photos is that I had a show at Willoughbys in May and I sold a few there. We'll see what happens next year.

In the meantime:
Focus on what's ahead of you.

Or, maybe, the threatened storms kept the flocks way from the event, as well as the vendors.
